I think the unknown location could be where the Old Capitol theater is… err currently where the “octopus” pedestrian bridge in front of Komtar; err junction of penang road, burmah road (Old Rex Theatre direction); Jalan Tan Sri Teh Ewe Lim (i think); and the road that connects to Komtar via Dato Keramat (forget the name)

  4. Steve says:

Was the third photo taken at the end of Penang rd where the overpass is now?

    Hi Chris
The photographs do bring back memories.I am a penangnite setting up a small penang style cafe in KL. Would you be kind enough to allow me permission to use some of these nostalgic images to decorate my little cafe?
    thanks

It’s not a electric cable car but, an old Penang Trolley Bus. That photo is shot at Penang Road

I think the photo “image 0017” shows the Capitol Cinema, at the junction between Prangin Road and Penang Road
